I have washed a pair of black trousers with a tissue in the pocket. The tissue has broken up in to tiny white shreds and stuck to the trousers like a thick white dust, and I can't get it off. I have re-washed them, sponged them, vigorously shook them, all of which has make little difference. Any ideas?

Have you tried vacuuming them while you're wearing them? It has worked for me in the past, but I suppose it depends on the fabric. At the very least, as this is best played as a two-person game, you get a big laugh out of it!

Well, I have attacked my trousers with the vacuum cleaner (what a laugh that was) and a roll of parcel tape, and after washing them for a third time they are almost clear of tissue fluff. Thanks for the tips.
