Hi never done this before ,but about two months ago we renewed our home and contents insurance with a different company ,not sure if i,m allowed to name them so i won,t and six weeks into it my sons friend accidently threw a small ball at our lcd tv breaking the screen, so we contacted the insurance company who asked us first to get a price from a local company for a price for repair .That came to £995.00 ,so they sent somebody from there company to have a look at it ,they told the insurance company that it would be to expensive to repair .so the insurance company has offerd us a measley £390.00 for a tv, that when we bought it cost us £1500 it is a very high quality tv . my husband has refused the amount that they have offerd so not sure what to do now..
