Can I complain about a broken Creative Zen MP3 player, quoting the Sale of Goods Act, when they are based in the Republic of Ireland, not the UK?

Did you buy it in the UK? If you did, your contract is with the retailer and not the manufacturer.

It was bought from the Creative On-line Store, the invoice has the Irish address on it.

I am not sure what Irish legislation complies with the "Sale of Consumer Goods and Associated Guarantees" in the UK is is the Sale of Goods Act, but this is who you need to contact if you need help:
