I have what looks like a large (about fifteen inches in a curve) cat scratch on my screen. I think either my cat has scratched it or, more likely, one of my children has dropped it. I'm not sure where my insurance details are but is this something typically that house insurance would cover?

Hi Rachelle,

You will only be covered if you have paid for accidental damage.

Thanks Tony. I am realising why people make so much money. It's out of incompetent and lazy people like me. I will force myself to drag my papers out of their filing box and have a read through. I can't have not gone for accidental damage surely ....?

Surprise surprise I didn't! New Year's Resolutions (I have many) are to take a look at all my insurance details and make sure I am suitably covered for the next time ...
