Before you go to the trouble of taking it down and returning it, I would get someone out to look at your signal strength, despite what they have told you about it not being a HD TV I'm not sure that TV's are even made without HD capability these days, it could be something relatively simple, I know it's more expense but it will be worth it to get it sorted.
