Hi

i'm new to the forum. Looks like a great website!

I've got a problem with a gas cooker i bought from John Lewis. It was fine for three months then the heat in the oven went down and it cooks extremely slowly (like a hour and a half for a frozen pizza ). They have sent a engineer out three times and say their is nothing wrong with it. Where do i stand as i've only had it since the summer? The manual has silly cooking times in it to cover themselves like a baked potato should take 1 hour to 3 hours!

Please can someone pass me some advice?

If it is less than six month old they need to prove that it is not faulty. The opinion of three engineers might be enough. However, if you want to progress this you will need an engineer's report. I would send them a letter stating that you are going to do this and will charge them if it is found to have an inherent fault.
