I have heard someone talking about this already (on Radio 4 probably) but I'm not sure what manufacturing we have left in the UK? I find it hard to think that factories will start reopening. The ones near where I live which have closed down in the last 15 years have now been developed into housing.

Yeah, it seemed strange to me too.

Especially considering the fact that there are kids all over india and China sewing footballs for 15p a day.

Maybe they mean high end stuff like computer chips, battleships, or, dare i say it, cars?
