I just wanted to give people a heads up about a couple of email types that seem to have cropped up recently in my Spam inbox.
It seems long gone are the days when spammers or malicious mailers would bombard you with viagra adverts, weight loss pills, sex sites and hair growth treatments. In the past few weeks I have received more and more mailings (none of which I have opened) along the lines of.
"Your Ticket Order No 565579/23111 (or any such numbers)"
"Your cash reimbursement : Ref No 6723787, CHB"
I must admit they do stand out from all other scam emails because the use of numbers and the fact it says "Your order..." makes you wonder if you did actually order something! I am guessing they are either just junk email, or malicious probably containing trojans to log your internet activity or steal your email information. As I said, I never open any emails like this so I can't confirm it, but I thought it may be prudent to pop this on here to give people a heads up. Unless I am the last person in the world to receive these kinds of emails, and everyone has had them before, which wouldn't surprise me!
