Nearly 2 years ago , me and my partner were involved in a car accident on the motorway which left me with severe hearing damage after all. My partner, thank god , had thankfully only minor injuries. We started a personal injury claim and my partners claim was sorted after 12 months . He had a payout sum of £5000 this has been payed out within 7 days after accepting the offer
Now... The defendant admitted liability in my case aswell and offered me the sum of £35000 in order to settle the claim and I accepted it.
Now I'm wondering how long does it normally take to be payed out cus my solicitor said it normally takes a "few" months because of the amount. Apparently offers below £25000 are dealt faster with and payed quicker. Has anyone had an offer above £25000 and how long did it take to be payed out after accepting the defendants offer ?
