Hi all newbie here with a question (hopefully in the right section)...
So my partner and I have a car on finance...The finance is in my partner's name. I had an accident back in January where our car was written of...Now my question is..The car insurance is in my name with my partner a named driver whilst making the claim the insurance company have phoned the finance company without my partner's (or mine) consent for a settlement figure the insurance company wouldn't have known the answers to the security question the finance company always ask when we phone them so the finance company have given out his details to the insurance(who could have been anyone)....Is this actually allowed? Should the insurance company have done a 3 way call to allow the insurance company permission to speak to finance company on his behalf?
