Hi, we purchased some flight tickets with KLM online using a Halifax debit card. The total was £2,117
We had to cancel our flights of our own accord because the destination (Iran) has UK travel restrictions on the foreign office website - advising against all but essential travel to Iran.
We were scheduled to fly yesterday (18th December 2011)
We stand to lose the whole amount because KLM won't cough up saying that the flight is still operable and no travel restrictions are in place for neither their company nor Dutch passengers.

Would I be able to claim this money back from Halifax?
Thanks,

My husband purchased a game code for an online game and made payment through paypal with our debit card. We have since found out that the game code was originally purchased using a stolen credit card and the code was deactivated (so no longer of use to him). Paypal have sided with the seller saying the item is intangeable and will not offer refund. As payment was made with our debit card can we go to our bank and ask for visa debit chargeback?
