Basically I've come into a dispute with my local gym. I was a member starting in September '15, then in December '15 I cancelled the membership.
The monthly fee come out of my girlfriends account, and we noticed last month that they had kept taking the monthly £18.99 the entire time and it had gone unnoticed. I haven't been to the gym since December '15.
I called them to explain this, however they quickly denied all knowledge of the cancellation, effectively saying I was lying, however they willingly cancelled the membership immediately skipping their usual notice period which is needed to cancel a membership.
Is there anything I can do in this situation to get my money back? The owner whom I spoke to didn't seem to care much for the situation or try to help resolve it. I spoke to my phone provider however they were unable to give me call history which would have proved my communication with them.
