Indemnity claim

I recently let a firm represent me in a direct debit indemnity claim unwisely.
I got the money back almost straight away and as I had signed a 30% fee payable invoice for the named sum I thought I had better pay them the next day.
Check my account the next day and the money has been debited back out of my account..thank God I didn't pay them straight away.
However I have now been credited again but with a smaller amount equal to 6 payments made not the 7 they invoiced me for.
Am I legally obliged to pay albeit at a lower rate to reflect the change...I don't think I am as I signed to receive x amount and didn't.
They made mistakes and it was the bank that rectified everything.

65 views and no replies, nobody got any ideas on this subject.
They haven't got back to me yet so will just have to wait and see.

Hello and welcome to the forum - I am not really sure what the question is. Could you elaborate a bit and provide a bit more detail please

That's the question......they rang me on Monday and when I told them what happened they said they would contact me the next day as it was Bank Holiday that day but haven't heard since.
