Always wondered this, what is your legal standpoint about paying for work/parts done on your car, diagnosing a fault, when what they diagnose/replace doesnt cure the problem?
The obvious answer is to ask for them to put the old parts back on, but that doesnt account for any time charged, and some parts that are fine before removal are actually damaged and rendered useless when removed, eg. wheelbearings
