My husband and I purchased a year old caravan from a dealer a couple of days ago. The dealer said they were not aware of any problems with the caravan. My husband has just contacted the previous owner as he was selling caravan accessories on ebay and my husband recognised his email address. The previous owner has confirmed that they had so many problems with the Elddis caravan that they had to get solicitors involved. Elddis confirmed that the caravan was not 'fit for purpose in Novemeber 2018'. The previous owner returned the caravan to a Yorkshire dealer who must have sold it to our Coventry dealer. We are obviously extremely concerned. We stayed in the caravan for a few days and it 'seemed' fine. Do we have any rights if anything happens in the future?
