Hi all,

I work for a TV production company called Plum Pictures. We're the creators of 'George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces' (Channel 4) and 'James May: The Reassembler' (BBC4), to name just a few our programmes.

We are currently producing a new a consumer show for a major UK broadcaster called 'The Complaints Department' (working title). The premise of the show is that it’s a one-stop shop for unresolved consumer complaints about broken, defective and unsatisfactory products.

In the show we invite members of the public to come to our studio with the problematic item they have bought. Our team of experts - from engineers to consumer champions - then explores each and every aspect of the product in order to diagnose the exact problem - uncovering the fascinating inner-workings of everyday household items. If the experts think the manufacturer or supplier is to blame for the fault they will speak to the company on the customer’s behalf and attempt to get some resolution.

The overall programme is intended to be warm and is not a ‘hard-hitting’ consumer affairs show, but it is about getting the right resolution for consumers whilst informing the viewing public about problematic products and their consumer rights.

We are looking for case studies for our programme - so if you have a consumer complaint about a product you have bought don't hesitate to get in touch. From counterfeit clothes, poorly made toys, broken toasters and dangerous electrical appliances – no problem is too big or small!

Thanks,

Emma

I think this is a great idea. You will help a lot of people to seek for their right, who even didn't know they have. Good luck with the show. When does it starts?
