If a item(s) is/are on sale and you agree to buy them on fiance at that price but told the person that does the fiance stuff is not in and to come back the following week/weekend and that the item(s) will still be on sale but reserved for you and one of the items you plan on buying will be taken down from it's display and put in it's packing by the time you come back on stated day. So you agree and go on your way to wait till stated day. Day comes you go down to said place see the one item still on display and the other items you were told were reserved were taken back and put on the shelves. They give you a good will gesture because of the issue and you thank them loads and go on your marry way just to get out of the situation.

But then you look at your recipet later and find they charged you at the normal rate for all the items on sale and end up paying more even with the good will gesture.

so my question is would the above story be a verbal agreement to pay the sale price with you and the store based on the info given by the worker? and what is the normal amount given for good will gestures?
