1 week ago I had a small claim court hearing against a property vendor who by the way are property company for misrepresentation by omission.
I prepared for the case well, read all that is going to happen during the case ie
my presentation of the case, questions to the defendant expected to be questioned by him and the final speech.
Only that never happened. The only person talking was the judge. I was never invited to present my case or ask the defendant any questions. The judge asked me 2 questions never asked defendant any. 10-15 min later it was all over. Yes I have lost but did I get hearing for which I paid over £700? No.
What is going on ? I want to appeal but afraid that will happen again. Is the judge allowed to proceed with the case anyway he likes?
