I purchased a steam mop from Thane Direct in november 2012.
In January this year it started leaking water,i contacted Thane
customer service and i was told to return the steam mops body
only and they would replace it in 5days.After waiting 2weeks i
again contacted Thane Direct and was promised a reply by
phone that same day,this did not happen.After more phone calls
and numeros emails i was told i would not be getting a replacement
as they think i dropped the steam mop,this was on february 1st.The Thane warehouse received the mop from me on the 24 january it was only
because i rang them again on the 1st feb that i was told i would not
get a replacement.
I received an email from customer service that same day telling me that
the steam mop would be sent back to me in five days,not working.
I have told thanes direct i did not drop the steam mop,while using
the mop the tube that sends the water thru had come away and the
plastic clip on the side of the just came away in my hand.
The mop cost me £99.99p,looking at reviews on line regarding the mop
it appears i'm not the only one that has had this problem with the mop.
Can you please help,

I can only suggest you gather as much evidence as you can online of similar problems and send it to them requesting they look into the matter as a design or maunfacturing fault.

At the moment it is your word against theirs but if a number of people have similar complaints, they can't argue.

At the end of the day you may have to go to the small claims court to get your replacement or money back but worth trying to convince them to do the decent thing first.

I purchased one a couple of years ago lasted 13 months then broke Thane Direct did not want to know offered me a replacement part for £40 needless to say I did not buy it, my problem was no steam coming out of nozzle apparently a very conmen problem. absolutely rubbish customer service and a rubbish company
