A friend of mine placed an order with the above company on Friday for a new made-to-measure bed with a motor for adjustments to help her retain some independence (she is a wheelchair user with Cerebral Palsy). She paid £2000 cash upfront to ensure a speedy service!! Unfortunately she did not tell me any of this until yesterday. After a bit of searching and digging I found this company has a director in common with The Great British Mobility Group who featured on Watchdog in 2014 and have previous connections with other dissolved companies. I am very concerned for my friend, and terribly upset she paid cash up front, she is a vulnerable person and was taken in by an advert in the Daily Mail and glossy brochures, added to which the salesman told he lived "just around the corner" - no mention of which corner, of course!! What is best for her to do now? Does she need to wait for product and see how things are before anything can be done?
