Having spent the last couple of days being thoroughly inconvenienced by the train strike, it's led me to wonder about consumer rights on the railways. Fpr example, say I had booked seats for a train journey today that then did not happen due to the strike - would I be entitled to a refund, replacement service or compensation? Also I believe that if your train is late by more than a certain amount of time, you're allowed to claim compensation - has anyone ever done this?
