Hi,

I order a microwave on line from a white goods website a few months ago. They never delivered it. They told me on the phone several time that it will be delivered soon but they did not. They don't answer anymore on the phone and there website is partially active. It looks like they are closing their business. I lost 209£. What can I do?

Thanks in advance for your advice

Hi Pat,

If you paid by credit card you can cliam the money from them and if you used a debit card you may be able claim your money from the bank. How did you pay.

Cheers,

Tony

Hi Pat,

In that case your chances of getting your money back are low. If we assume that the company has gone bust, then you can apply to be put on the list of creditors - what is the name of company?

If they are still trading and accepting orders then you might need to start a small claim against them. However, before you do that talk to your local trading standards office.

Cheers,

Tony

They seem to be trading using a number of different web sites, so they may still be operating. I didn't try to make an order though. Your local trading standards can be contacted directly here:
