Visa debit chargeback

I bought a steam mop from a tv shopping channel in February this year so it is still under warranty. On Saturday it blew up and no longer works. I contacted the company and was informed that the business went into liquidation in September and the newly formed business was not required to honour the warranty. The goods cost £59.99 and I paid on my visa debit card. Can I claim the money back in these circumstances, if so how do I go about it?
