Hi Guys,

I am in the process of purchasing a used car from a dealer a Citroen C4 8 years old with 35,000 miles on the clock for £2800.. Paid deposit, went to the showroom, the car was still in the process of having a new handle fitted to the glove box. When they finished they tried to start the car and realised the starter motor had gone.

Whilst waiting I transferred the balance to them and signed the paperwork.. I obviously couldn’t take it there and then and they have ordered a new starter motor and have fitted tday, I pick it up tomorrow.. However, I’m now a little jittery as I’m not used to buying cars and don’t really know much about cars in general..

What do you guys think, should I pull out of the sale?? What are my rights once I take the car home, I have the usual 3 months warranty with it..
