Bt broadband

I signed up with bt when i moved here in november for phone and broadband there broadband is very slow and despite complaining they said its because im far away from the exchange why didn't they tell me this when i signed up as a result ive lost money got very slow broadband and cant change the supplier they said there putting new cables in milton keynes but they should do some thing to help people in villages before they give infinity to some it seems they are only interested about people in city's and town is there any thing i can do to get out of this contract

Hi Happy,

I had EXACTLY the same issue with BT...."too far from the exchange, no fibre in your area, etc."

Can't help you out other than to say when the contract expired I went to Virgin, the DID have fibre in the area and I've gone from 2 meg to 58 meg! I keep checking the speed online as I can't believe it!

Is there any mention of a minimum speed maybe?

I've had this same issue with Virgin! Ended up getting 2 months of money back because my Internet connection was that bad!
