i bought my car breakdown policy from rescuemycar.com and paid £27.80 (for home and local rescue cover)
then next day i have recieved my policy documents via email
and when i read the email i realized that i have to pay £40 extra everytime when i call them
This £40 so called Excess fee wasn't there when i saw the quote online for the policy that i bought.
So when i call the rescuemycar.com customer service department and told them that if i knew that i have to pay £40 extra everytime when i call you i wouldn't buy this policy and i wanted to cancel it
Then the person told me that there will be £15 cancellation fee
So i paid £27.80 and only 1 day after i recieved my policy documents via email, i decided to cancel it because of the reasons above and they are charging me £15 admin fee !
Am i not covered here by the 14 day cooling off period ??? Can they really charge me £15 ?
I would like to take this case to financial ombdusman i think
