Car has a chipped windscreen, what can be done?

I bought a car from Cargiant on 11th April 2013. Prior to that I had paid a deposit after doing a short test drive on the 7th and paying a deposit. As soon as I took delivery of the vehicle and was just leaving the premises I saw that there was a chip on the windscreen. I instantly took it back to them and they said that they will take it to their garage and see what can be done. Without asking me the windscreen was repaired and when the car came back the damage was much more visible and had additional scars on it. I asked the manager on duty to get the windscreen replaced as I was not happy with appearance of the windscreen where they flatly refused to do anything and told me to just take a car as it is. I left the car as is at their premises and came back as they asked me to come on Sunday the 14th and meet their manager Carol who was on leave until Sunday.

I wanted to know what my rights are in such cases? Can I return the vehicle if the windscreen is not replaced?
