I have an excellent credit record. I possess a platignum credit card with Lloyds, but I have been declined for a Barclaycard and they refuse to say why.
I am not overly concerned regarding the lack of the card, but I am very concerned to know why. One reason is I would have to admit to this on any future application when it asks 'have you ever been declined' etc.
What are my rights?
I understood that the bank had a duty to tell me the reason?
