Hi,
We recently shopped in a big store. Brought cushions, paper goods and electricals. The items were not bagged or wrapped as its not an option in this store.
When we got to the door, it was torrential rain outside so we waited for it to blow over in the porch of the shop.
Once it had reduced to a managable drizzle (about 15 mins), we dashed for the car. Goods intact.
However, we have now received a parking ticket for overstaying in the car park. It hasnt been cancelled by the shop on request and theres a car park mamagement agent who are taking us to court now. If we had not waited to leave the carpark, but would have gotten the items wet and ruined by the rain: Who is responsible for the damaged goods at this point?
Thanks
