It's not surprising, since people prefer to eat less bread nowadays. The quality of bread that people are willing to pay for has been increasing as well.

Well, people still love bread, they just want it to be high-quality and beneficial for health. People that live around me, in Florida, mostly started buying european bread when our bakeries started selling it. This has become quite a trend, since this bread is incredibly tasty and isn't full of corn syrup, like what we were used to.
