Is my new microwave faulty?

Cooked a jacket potato, just putting it on the revolving glass plate. 50% of the door steamed up on the inside and a small amount of water appeared on the outside, on the seal at the bottom of the door.

Have I got a faulty item or is this to be expected?

Hello,

That is pretty much to be expected. There is quite a lot of moisture in a jacket potato. Some microwaves have better ventilation than others.

Enjoy your spud : )

Cheers,

Thanks Tony,

It seems to be OK with other stuff so you have reassured me. Never happened with the last one, hence my doubts.
