Mobile phone faulty

I bought my Nexus 5x from ebuyer online in April 2016
Lately the screen hangs or freezes
I Contact ebuyer.com they said it wasn't there problem and to contact lg direct
I Contacted lg
I tried a factory reset as recommended by them, still same fault
Lg says has it been dropped or had water damage, I said no but I suspect they will try to wriggle out of fixing phone.
They said dpd will arrange to pick up phone and they will asses it, which will take 7-9 days
What will I do without a phone for that long ? They said tough.
Should I contact my credit card company and get them involved ?

I'd say you're within the time to return item as not of satisfactory quality under Consumer Rights Act 2015. 30 days full refund.
