Hi, i'm sure a lot of people will be asking this soon with Ebay managed returns kicking in so here is my question.
If as a seller it costs me say £1 to post something, can i be forced to refund postage costs of significantly higher than this if a customer wants to return something and i am liable for return costs?
Under the ebay managed returns process i as a seller appear to lose all rights on return costs and carrier. Thought that as a online seller i have the right to arrange collection at the very least and if not then surely return costs have to be reasonbly close to what i could arrange for the customer?
The ebay stance is the customer has to choose one of their designated couriers at their designated rate. In some cases it will cost over £20 to return an item that i could sort a return for £5!
Ebay say.... if its uneconomical to get returned i should write it off!!! No way can this be legal?
Looked online but all i find is rights to return and who pays, nothing about rates.
Anyone?
