My little man has just had his first day at school {waaahhh, he was fine, I'm a mess!}
It seems like one of the biggest pay outs is school uniforms but the school he is going to has a really ace scheme!
What they do is have a regular mums coffee morning where you not only get to meet other mums but can buy/sell second hand uniforms and books!
If you have a bigger family, I think it's really worth looking at what the french call price per wear.
This is where you get stuff that is a bit more expensive but is better made , out of more hard wearing material so it will last longer {therefore cheaper in the long run}
For instance a cheap pair of trousers may cost 2.99 but if they only last a week then they work out at 60p a wear, whereas a more expensive pair at five pounds which last for 5 months work out at 5p per wear
I have to admit that because my little man is only 5 I have gone down the 'get two sizes too big route! I figure I can get away with it till he's about 9..
Any other suggestions?
