I believe I am in a bit of a grey area.
The long and short of it is I bought a 3 year old ford fiesta car with low millage from a ford dealer, so the manufacturers warranty has expired.
I bought the car 8 months ago, so the 3 month warranty has expired from the dealer.
At the moment it is sitting on my driveway as I am no longer able to drive it, due to it only running on 3 cylinders which I believe has something to do with the injectors.
most annoyingly my husband specifically asked the sales rep about this issue because we researched the car and know that this had been an issue. but he reassured us that these problems related to older models and the problems had been resolved.
according to what I have read I would be in a better position if this had happened in the first 6 months, but bearing in mind the car was purchased for 8k and any reasonable person would expect it to last considerably longer than 8 months, I really want to know if I can go to the dealer and request a repair because of my statutory rights?
is anybody able to help me ?
