Selling a product knowing it's faulty

I recently return an item after I realised it had a fault. I brought it to the seller attention and recently noticed that the product was back on sale, without the trader informing the consumer it has a fault.

I was told under the Sales Good Act that any fault or defect on a product had to be disclosed to the consumer regardless how minor it was. Is this not true?
