Hi all, I have bought a TV second hand which has subsequently broken.
The manufacturer has printed a 'Production Date' on the rear of the TV and it has a 2 year warranty which is within this date (it says 1st December 2020).
However, because I don't have the original receipt (and neither does the person I've bought it from), the manufacturer is refusing to honour the warranty.
Is this correct? I mean surely the receipt is to confirm that the TV is within the 2 year warranty period? But as the production date on the TV is shown, this 2 year period is not in dispute?
Any ideas? Thanks for any advice.
